Robin Goings is originally from Toledo, Ohio. She moved to Hollywood with big dreams of making her mark on the big screen, only to find herself trapped in an emotionally, mentally and financially abusive relationship.
In the process, Robin’s aspirations of becoming an actress begin to fade away along with her financial security, a fairy tale life style, her dream home and her A+ credit.
Since her divorce, Robin has been featured on the cover of Heart & Soul, a National magazine. She has appeared as a YouTube video guest celebrity wife and she is often sought after for appearances, because of her out spoken opinions on women’s rights and equality related issues.
However, it took her firsthand experience with our judicial-system for her to learn of the lack of support our government has for abandoned families in crises. This absence of support for women (or men) with children abandoned by a celebrity co-parent led her to take her fight to congress where she is currently working to put new laws on the books.
Robin’s mission and inspiration now include making things better for future families that are thrown away by a celebrity who changed their heart towards their family. Robin is determined to make sure that her tribulations and the lessons learned through it will not be in vain. She is currently preparing a memoir that will chronicle her life before, during and after being married to an entertainer along with the congressional bill she designed. Robin Goings is determined to make sure that her tribulations will not be in vain.
Robin’s story is empowering, she was both financially and emotionally devastated and left with a family and the responsibility to start life over with nothing. She had been knocked out and left defeated, but instead of that being the end, today she is Spiritually alive and more determined than ever to make a difference!
